Background Gameleader
Giovanni has an extensive background in the airline and technical industry with multiple positions at various departments with KLM and Cofely (in the past GTI). After his business economy study, he started with KLM. In the first eight years at KLM, he was active as a commercial aircraft planner, head of sales at KLM catering services and manager customer service at KLM special cargo. The following eight years were spent with KLM Engineering and Maintenance, lastly as a regional director for the Americas. He was the last three working years active as a commercial director within the technical services of utilities at Cofely. Since January 1, 2009 he has been running his own companies (CC-NL & Businessgaming). He is working as an independent consultant, as a lecturer for marketing, sales and supply chain related business subjects and as research fellow for airport and aviation related subjects. The latter two jobs are executed at Inholland University.
Games, unique selling point
I educate and train people in several businessgames. Smartgate, Quartet games and the T-challenge games are my core gaming activities. The dynamics and the virtual aspect are truly astonishing and deliver an enthusiastic “buy-in” of the student. The game will provide the context for learning and together with additional assignments you will experience a truly exhilarating way of mastering of specific subjects. In my case these experiences will be geared towards commercial, business and supply chain related subjects.

By using a businessgames the students will be able to feel the dynamics of management and to learn the relationships between the various business departments. The player can really learn in-depth the theory, the practical use and necessary teamwork to become a succesfull specialist and/or manager.
